INTRODUCING OPTIKA OROS CYCLING TEAM
WHO WE ARE?
Optika Oros Cycling Team is an ambitious, newly established cycling race team whose heart beats in the Žitný Ostrov region, based in Šamorín. The project was launched last year by founder Tamás Nagy with a clear vision, followed by our official club registration this January. The primary objective of this introductory "year zero" is to gain experience, establish our presence, and make our mark within the cycling community.
OUR TEAM
While our roots and headquarters are firmly planted in southwestern Slovakia, we take immense pride in building a strong cross-border community. Our core roster currently consists of 15 dedicated athletes—12 male and 3 female riders. Reflecting our open-minded culture and the unifying power of sport, seven of our riders joined us from Hungary.
Road racing is our primary focus and greatest passion; however, our diversity is reflected in teammates who also compete across various other cycling disciplines, forming a truly dynamic and versatile collective.
OUR MISSION AND VISION
Beyond competitive racing, we have set our sights on a much broader, long-term ambition. We are committed to building a stable foundation and professional background for local youth, giving them the chance to develop within a team driven by an authentic, pro-level mindset.
Our mission is simple yet essential: to provide the opportunities, guidance, and resources needed so that no local talent goes unnoticed, ensuring every determined young cyclist has the expert framework required to reach their full potential.
