A Statement Season Opener in Tótvázsony

On March 22, the starting gun fired and our team officially kicked off its racing campaign! Lining up with 1 female and 7 male riders in Tótvázsony, we immediately proved that we are a force to be reckoned with in the peloton.

Women: A Podium Debut

Alica Bradlerová represented our colors in the women's category. In an exceptionally competitive field, she secured an impressive 2nd place, finishing just behind a former Olympic triathlete. While a rival managed a solo breakaway that the uncoordinated peloton failed to reel back in, Alica confidently controlled her position to bring home our first podium finish.

Men: Teamwork and a Top 5 Finish

Tactics and sheer firepower dictated the men's race:

  • Dictating the Pace: We drove a fierce tempo straight from lap one, successfully stretching and thinning out the field.
  • The Breakaway: During an injection of pace in the second lap, Bendegúz Pusztai successfully bridged across to the decisive lead group.
  • Solidarity: While Bendegúz fought at the sharp end, the rest of the squad rode selflessly behind, supporting one another across their respective age categories.

Our Results:

  • Bendegúz Pusztai: 5th Overall (4th in Category)
  • 3 additional riders secured Top 10 finishes within their age categories.

Summary

Our debut outing exceeded expectations across the board. Beyond the strong results, the visible team cohesion and aggressive, proactive racing confirmed that we have laid formidable groundwork for the season ahead. Great job, team!
